Student newspaper of the University of Alberta. -- <i>The Gateway</i> made its debut at the University of Alberta on 21 November 1910. The newspaper was founded when a group of students gathered at the home of Libby Lloyd to discuss the creation of a student newspaper. Albert Edward Ottewell was <i>The Gateway</i>'s first editor-in-chief.
